Melissa Blackburn is an artist, writer, mother of 3, marketing supervisor, and sustainability advocate. She is married to Fleming Blackburn who is a contractor in the Auburn area also interested in sustainable housing and the tiny house movement. They pursue a conservation lifestyle including composting, recycling, gardening, and would like- in the future- to implement a renewable energy system to their home. Melissa has helped us meet many like-minded individuals in the area and we are grateful for her support. Melissa can help you evaluate your home for renewable energy and Fleming can help you upgrade your home's energy efficiency!

Alexander "Andy" Bell is the Sustainable Building Specialist for Alabama Association of Habitat Affiliates. He has worked in construction and construction leadership since 1993, always with affordable housing. He has worked directly as a HERS rater and Earthcraft House Technical Assistant. He recently completed the LEED AP exam and is currently working towards completeling the training for Fortified Building Standard Inspector for the Institute for Business and Home Safety. He has taught workshops and given presentations on the value of Energy Star and green building practices for Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Alabama, the general community, and for the Lee County Homebuilder Association.
